About SRCF

Sujnana Religious and Charitable Foundation (SRCF) was formed and registered as a nonprofit organization in California in 2001. As a nonprofit organization, it looks after all the branches of the Puthige Matha, India in the United States of America. It currently manages 5 temples located in Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Jose, Houston and Edison in New Jersey. 


SRCF is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (C) (3 )of the Internal Revenue Code by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) effective from June 2, 2001. Contributions by donors to SRCF are tax deductible under section 170 of the code. IRS has also authorized SRCF to receive tax deductible bequeath, transfers or gifts under sections 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code .


As SRCF is tax exempt, nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization, IRS has classified SRCF as a Public Charity under sections 170 (b) (1) (A) (i) of the code. Further, IRS in a letter dated April 22, 2009, has modified SRCF status to reflect an organization described in sections 509 (a) (1) and 170 9b) (A) (i) effective February 20, 2009.


SRCF is a nonprofit, 501 (C) (3), tax exempt, Public Charity Organization . Donations and Gifts to SRCF are Tax Deductible to the Donors. Please consult your tax advisor for further details regarding the tax implications.
